Blog Group 2: Digital Mapping Systems

Maps have been around for a long time. They allow us to locate places we would not otherwise be able to find. But now technology has allowed us to have these maps at our fingertips and be able to manipulate where we want to go in a few seconds. Lets look at GPS navigators and mapping apps. They can be defined at http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_mapping. These are computerized systems that connect to our vehicles to allow us to get from place to place without interruptions. No need for foldable papers to fiddle with on the dash. All we need to do is plug in the location on our phone app or dash and let the system do the rest. There are saved coordinates, locations and pictures that guide you and the system to your destination.
